Welcome to our Cat Hotel
The DSPCA Pet Hotel & Boarding facility provides the highest level of care and comfort for your cat’s when you need to board them.
Located on the DSPCA campus in Rathfarnham, our cat hotel consists of 18 secure indoor suites, all cats are housed individually unless from the same household. The suites have three levels including a penthouse bedroom. Cats can get up and go down their stairs to the ground floor as they please where they will have their litter tray and feeding areas. Each suite also has a scenic view of the Dublin Mountains.
They receive regular rubs and attention from our dedicated cattery team.
Before your Cat’s stay
Daily Routine in the cat Hotel
Your cat’s day starts at 7am and finishes at 7pm, throughout the day your cat will receive regular attention from our Canine Carers. Throughout the day cats will get individual time in our designated indoor playrooms, fully equipped with cat enrichment.
Each cat is fed throughout the day as per the instructions provided prior to check-in by the owner.
We provide bowls, cat litter, litter trays, scratch posts & toys.
We are always happy to let owners know how their pet is doing during their stay either by phone or by email all you have to do is contact us!
If we note any issues such as soft stool, not eating or anything out of the ordinary we will always contact owners straight away. We have a vet on site so if there are any issues, we can arrange an appointment for your pet, at owner’s expense, once we get the go-ahead from the owners.

What to bring
- Your cat
- Your cat’s food
- A measure for the food if it is not prebagged
- Treats if any are to be given as part of their feeding routine
- Medication; if any, please ensure it is in its original packaging with the vet label on it or it will not be administered without consent from your vet
Photos
If you have selected “Yes to photos” on your pet’s paperwork our staff will try their best to get photos posted on our Facebook and Instagram page. However please note that getting photos of our hotel pets isn’t always possible as caring for the pets in our care, getting them walked, fed & administering medication, is our number one priority
