Terms & Conditions

Hotel Deposits

Deposits for all bookings will be 50% of the hotel stay. This must be paid on booking; no bookings can be held without a deposit. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in all cases including death of your pet.

Payments

Payment for the full boarding term is required 21 days before arrival to the hotel. There is no refund or credit for early holiday returns. All boarding rates are charged on a calendar day basis. The Pet Owner agrees to pay the rate in effect on the date pet is checked into DSPCA Pet Boarding or Day Care.

Daycare days are non-refundable & we require 24hours notice to reschedule a booked daycare day.

Cancellations 

If you have paid in full and cancel with 21 days’ notice only your 50% deposit is non-refundable or transferable & 50% of the full amount will be credited to your account. If it is within 21 days of your pet’s stay no monies paid is refundable and cannot be credited to your account.

If your pet goes into season (heat) please contact us as soon as possible.

Arrivals & Departures

There are strictly NO Check in’s or Collections on a Sunday or Bank Holiday Monday. Reception will be closed and only reception can authorize handover of pets. Pets will only be released to the Primary Owner, Secondary Owner or Emergency contact unless otherwise stated by the Primary owner in writing.

Vaccinations

You must provide proof that your pet’s vaccinations are up-to-date. No animal will be accepted unless these vaccinations are up-to-date. Kennel Cough (dogs) must be administrated with the yearly boosters. Please remember your pet can not come into our facility for 14 days after the vaccination as it is live and can put others at risk, this is for all cases vaccination renewal & first time vaccines. Breeds such as Lurchers, Whippets or a cross of such a breed we do require them to come in wearing a jacket or specially designed ‘pyjamas’ as they have such thin skin they are more prone to cuts and injuries.

Food & Medication

The Pet’s own food must be supplied. If your Pet’s food has been forgotten, dry food can be purchased from our shop.

If your pet’s food runs out throughout the stay we will add on a bag of Purina food which we sell in the shop this will be added to your account which must be paid before or on collection.

Medications must be in their original, labelled container with vet sticker attached or it will NOT be administrated.

Additional Charges

If your pet becomes ill or if the state of the animal’s health requires professional attention, the DSPCA in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian, administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal, and the expenses thereof shall be paid by the owner.

DSPCA staff will make a reasonable attempt to contact Owner prior to engaging such services when possible. The Pet Owner further agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services such as additional food and any emergency veterinary costs for their pet during the time said pet is in the care of DSPCA.

The Pet Owner agrees to give permission to the DSPCA Pet Boarding to allow personal information regarding Owner and Pet to be given to or received from a duly licensed veterinarian. The Dublin SPCA cannot be held responsible for injury, illness or sudden death arising during your dog or cat’s time in boarding or doggie daycare.

Property

If pet’s belongings do not make it home with them on the day of departure, we will hold them here for 48 hours only. Tracking & GPS devices will be removed, the DSPCA will not be liable for any damages to any property.

Doggie Daycare

The pet owner acknowledges that their dog may be mixing with other dogs unless otherwise stated and that playing with other dogs can sometimes result in wounds, loss of hair, death etc.

Dogs may become dirty as a result of socialising.

For doggie day care & off lead socialising all dogs of 7 months & older must be neutered/spayed.

Late Collection from day care after 7pm will incur a €10 charge.

Daycare is only advised for dogs until they reach the age of 8, which is when they reach their ‘senior’ years.

When you return home

Pets may go home more tired than normal due to an increase in exercise received in our care. Pets may be out of their daily routine when they return home.

Our routine here is from 7am – 7pm. Please do not exert your pet and stick to their controlled diet to avoid stomach upset. Any concerns about your pet please contact your vet.

We are located in the Dublin mountains and pets are walked within our walking field, we recommend treating your pet for ticks & fleas before their stay. Pets may also go home dirty as a result from bad weather or walking in the field. It is recommended pets who socialise regularly receive worm treatment monthly.

Booking and Delivery of your pet to DSPCA Pet Boarding & Day Care facilities constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions advertised.
